An Edcamp is a participant-driven, "unconference" designed for educators to engage in organic professional development. Edcamps have no pre-set agenda or speakers; instead, attendees create the session board on the morning of the event, focusing on collaborative, conversation-based learning tailored to their immediate needs.
What to expect:
  • Participant-Driven: The agenda is created by attendees in the morning, using sticky notes to propose topics, ensuring the content is relevant to those present.
  • "Rule of Two Feet": Participants are encouraged to leave a session if they are not learning or contributing, allowing them to move to other discussions to maximize their time
  • Sessions are about networking and knowledge sharing.
  • Discussion-Based: Sessions are conversations led by peers, rather than formal, one-way lectures.
